After The Wedding
Well she did it; after 18 months of planning and stress Laura got married. Of course she is now sat on a beach drinking cocktails and gaining a tan. Me I am sat writing her blog for her and feeling like I have post wedding depression.
The day was fantastic with some good fun and memories being made. The farm was a sea of white stone with guests who know us well trying to discover where Mark had hidden all the tractors and rubbish. He was so tired the week of the wedding I actually felt sorry for him. That lasted right up to his speech which contained a large chunk of abuse directed at me. So ungrateful that man considering I had written him a really nice speech!
I must pay tribute to Katrina and Jonathan – Friends for Dinner – who catered for the wedding reception and night time party. They were superb, professional and the food amazing. Cannot recommend or thank them enough. There was only one moment of panic; when the limo was late. Turned out no-one had told him the groom’s parents had moved house!
As for the shop it is under the direction of Sharon and Tony at present, who are doing a fantastic job. The pigs remain in love and the sheep greedy little bullies. The strawbs look good according to the consultant, but the beans drowned in the rain and died off.
Have to go now because I am working in the shop today given that my lovely daughter is otherwise pre-occupied!
